A unique location for the EWC2012 finals!
The Netherlands Bowling Federation (NBF) considers itself very fortunate to have been granted the organization of the European Women Championships (EWC) 2012. This tournament will take place in Tilburg from June 6th through June 17th. The celebration of the 50th anniversary of NBF in 2012 adds an extra dimension to this event and makes it even more special. To underline this theme the organization tried to find a unique location for the finals of this tournament, in close cooperation with Uniglobe Special Travel. This search is undoubtedly awarded: on June 16th De Efteling Theater will be the one of a kind arena for the finalists.
The EWC 2012 will be held at Dolfijn Bowling in Tilburg. This 20 lane center has ample experience in hosting large international tournaments. Furthermore it is home to the Tilburg Dolphins, Dutch Major League Champion in 2009, 2010 and 2011. In short: Tilburg deserves to be entitled a genuine bowling town !
On Wednesday June 6th 2012 Dolfijn Bowling will welcome approximately 130 top-class lady bowlers to play their first competitions in various disciplines.
The contestants who reach the highest scores in all disciplines over the one and a half week of the tournament, will qualify for the Masters Final on Saturday June 16th. Besides that, there is a separate category for teams, playing their finals on June 16th as well.
The cooperation of the Netherlands Bowling Federation and De Efteling BV exceeds the hosting of the final competitions. Contestants, companions and organizers will be accommodated in Efteling Bosrijk throughout the event. This holiday resort offers the participants not only an optimal preparation for the competitions, but also a variety of options to relax at leisure.
The NBF is delighted about this cooperation and is eagerly looking forward to the EWC 2012. The organization however makes no effort to disguise that the ladies of Team Holland are considered to be capable of reaching the rostrum. A touch of orange in the finals would make the EWC 2012 even more complete !
