Ticket sale starts Monday April 2^nd
Next Monday at 09:00 o’clock the ticket sale will start for this unique finals. For the whole day The Efteling Theatre will be the stage of battles for the gold medals. The capacity of the theatre is 807. Additionally the organization has the option to build an extra tribune adding even more places. This off course will depend on the enthusiasm amongst the bowling fans to acquire a ticket for these finals.

Program Saturday June 16^th
At 09:00 o´clock the doors of the theatre will be opened to welcome the first visitors to the arena. At 10:00 o´clock the team final will begin. The teams will be presented and start their warm up session. After this the teams will start the battle for the team gold medal. A medal presentation will conclude the morning program. In the break of one hour it will be possible to enjoy a real Efteling Lunch. In the meantime the theatre will be emptied and prepared for the upcoming masters final.

At 13:00 o´clock the first of the two masters semi finals will start. This will be a best-of-three match.  Starting time of the following semi- and finals will depend on the outcome of the prior matches. Before each final round there will be a short lane maintenance break. The last act of the day will be the masters final between the best two ladies of the tournament.  This final will be followed by a medal ceremony immediately after the games and this will conclude the events of this unique final day.

Efteling Park
The location of the finals makes for an attractive suggestion to combine a visit to the finals with a visit to the Efteling amusement park. For this reason the option to buy daytickets for the Efteling park at a reduced price (€ 28,00 per ticket) is also an option. This way it will be possible for one member of a family or party to see the finals and at the same time let family members enjoy a visit to theEftelingPark.

Make sure to be ready when the ticket sale opens on April 2^nd (09:00 o’clock) so you will not miss this unique final. Together we will make this a great party!

At the time of deadline we had reached a new EWC record with a total of 154 entries from no less than 27 federations.

From North to South – Iceland to South Africa – The European Zone will be very well represented in Tilburg.

12 federations send us message of NOT participating and the last 10 federations failed to inform us.

The organization looks forward to welcoming all teams in Tilburg and we look forward to making it a great event for all involved.

So far we have already received confirmation that former EWC masters champion (2008) Nina Flack will participate representing Sweden and for sure more great champions will follow before the deadline for names in April.

15 march 2012 will be the ultimate deadline for teams to enter (sending Forms A+B) into the European Women Championships 2012 – in Tilburg – June 5th to June 17th 2012.

So far we have received 34 Form A with a total of 25 participating federations and a total of a record breaking 143 players (see details in participant update on the EWC website).

This promises the EWC2012 to be the biggest EWC ever with 130 participants in Odense, Denmark (2008) in second place.

Last week will have to show if we are heading for even higher numbers – but for now the record is a fact!

Did you also know:

- World Championships 2013 will be a combined men/women championship!
- 15 women teams (and 15 mens teams) will qualify from the European Zone!
- Federations don’t need to enter with a full team to have a chance to qualify!

Luxembourg was the latest federation to confirm their entry and the first to announce the names of their official delegation. EWC welcomes Carina Benavente, Agnieszka Dietrich, Jessica Goncalves, Nora Turci on the list of participants. Names in delegation received can be viewed by clicking the federation flags. So far 18 federations will be represented in Tilburg this upcoming June.
Deadline for entry form A is March 15th 2012.

The NBF looks forward to welcoming more federations for these European Championships and qualifying event for the 2013 World Championships

Already some federations have taken the opportunity to make reservations for their national teams.

We can now announce that the patterns of this dual lane condition tournament will be 38 and 44 feet. The pattern lengths will match the lengths that are announced for the EWC 2012, so coaches and players can get some idea of how the lanes will react.

- Dual Lane Condition (medium/long)
- 6 games
- 48 players qualify for the finals and a minimum of € 400
- Total Prizefund € 52.450
- First prize € 8.000
- Extra squad prizes ranging € 250 – € 1.000

2012 has arrived!

The year of EWC and ECC to be hosted by The Netherlands Bowling Federation, together with celebrating 50 years anniversary of the NBF. With great pleasure we inform you that by the end of 2011 we reached the magic 100 participants for the EWC in Tilburg. Expecting more federations still to sign up, this is a good indication that we are on course to a great field of participants.

The organization of the EWC 2012 wants to show its social commitment during this event. An example is the attention for Special Olympics.

NBF is proud to support the formalized co-operation between the ETBF and the Special Olympics for Europe and Eurasia (SO EE). An agreement has been made to schedule a SO EE demonstration during the EWC 2012 in Tilburg.

During the scheduled lane maintenance break, before the doubles semi-finals on Sunday June 10th, a few players will compete in front of the EWC spectators.
Beside being a demonstration of the beauty of our sport, it will undoubtedly warm up the crowd for the following semi-finals and later announcement of the first European Champions of the EWC 2012.

As much as 14 federations have already signed up for the EWC 2012!

On the EWC website you can see that the the count of participants at this moment is up to 14 federations and a total of 83 bowlers.

We are yet several months away from the official opening of the EWC 2012. Nevertheless behind the screens the organization, along with many volunteers, is working hard to prepare a state of the art event for you. And moreover: the entry is open to all invited federations!
